Aryaavalokitesvara, commonly known as Janabaha Dya to natives, and Seto Machhindranath to non-natives is one of the most revered deity of Kathmandu. It is one of the gender neutral god, who is worshipped as both male and female. This deity goes through Dashkarma puja - 10 main rituals performed in one's life and deity undergoes various rituals done to both male and female.
Janabaha dya is known as Chhenziring to Tibetans, Guanyin to Chinese and Bosatsu to Japanese people, commonly known as goddess of compassion too.
