 जनै पुर्णिमा / क्वाति पुर्णिमा

( गुन्पुन्ही , गुन्हुपुन्ही, गुम्पुन्ही )

हरेक वर्ष नेपाल संवत् अनुसार गुंलाथ्व पुन्ही तथा विक्रम संवत् अनुसार श्रावण शुक्ल पुर्णिमाको दिनलाई, जनै पुर्णिमाको रुपमा मनाउने गरिन्छ। नेपालको विभिन्न समुदायले यस पर्वलाई आ-आफ्नै तरिकाले मनाउने गर्दछन, जस्तै यस दिन ब्राह्मणहरुले तथा तागाधारीहरुले आफ्नो शरिरमा लगाएको जनै फेर्ने गर्दछन् भने हातमा डोरो बाँधेर शुभ होस् भनी कामना गरिन्छ। यसै गरि उपत्यकाको नेवा: समुदायमा पनि यसको छुट्टै महत्व रहेको पाइन्छ।

यस दिनलाई नेवा: समुदायमा गुंपुन्ही वा क्वाति पुन्हीको नामले चिनिन्छ। नेपाल संवतको १० औं महिना गुंलामा पर्ने पुर्णिमा भएकोले गुंपुन्ही भनिएको मानिन्छ। हरेक पुर्णिमा तथा पर्वमा भिन्दा भिन्दै परिकार खाने चलन रहेको नेवा: समुदायमा यस दिन विशेष गरि क्वाति खाने गरिन्छ। नेपालभाषामा `क्वा´ भनेको तातो र `ति´ भनेको झोल हो , यसैकारण यस पुर्णिमालाई क्वाति पुन्ही पनि भनिन्छ। यहि शब्द अपभ्रम्स भइ हाल यसलाई गैर नेवा:हरुले क्वाँटी भन्ने गरिएको छ। यस दिन भिजाएर स-साना टुसा पलाएको ९ थरिको गेडागुडीलाई मिसाएर पकाई त्यसको झोल र गहुँको रोटी बनाएर खाने गरिन्छ। यसको लागि २ दिन अगाडि अर्थात् द्वादशीको दिन गेडागुडी भिजाउने चलन रहेको छ। सेतो सिमी,केराउ, बकुला, बोडी, चना, गेडा मास, गेडा मुंग, भटमास आदि नौ थरिको गेडागुडी मिसाइ पकाउने गरिन्छ। साथै यसमा ज्वानो, धनियाँ गेडा र जिरा पनि झान्ने गरिन्छ। जनश्रुतिका अनुसार जिरालाई लामखुट्टे , धनियाँ गेडालाई उपियाँ र ज्वानोलाई उडुसको प्रतिकको रुपमा लिइन्छ। यसरी झानेको ज्वानो, जिरा नफाली खान पर्छ र यसदिन क्वातिमा आफ्नो अनुहार हेरेर खाएमा लामखुट्टे, उडुस, उपियाँले दु:ख नदिने जनविश्वास गरिन्छ।

यसै गरि यस दिनको अर्को मुख्य पक्ष भनेको भ्यागुतोलाई भात खुवाउने चलन हो।`ब्याँजा नकेगु´ भनेर चिनिने यस प्रचलनलाई विशेषत किसान समुदायले गर्ने गर्दछन्। सालको पात अथवा सिमिको पातमा भात, गेडागुडी, मासु तथा विभिन्न परिकार हाली सबैभन्दा पहिला मूलढोका अगाडि चढाउने गरिन्छ। यसपछि कौसीमा चराहरुको लागि पनि राख्ने गरिन्छ। यसपछी सबै भागहरु बोकेर खेतमा गइ भ्यागुताको लागि विभिन्न स्थानमा हाल्ने गरिन्छ। किंवदन्ती अनुसार, एकपल्ट इन्द्र रिसाइ, म पानी नै पार्दिन भनी सबै झ्याउकिरी र जुनकिरीलाई आफुले कब्जा गरि राखेछन्। भ्यागुताहरु कराएपछी पानी पार्नु पर्ने नियम भएको इन्द्रदेवले सबै जुनकिरी आफुसँग राखे पछि भ्यागुताहरु कसरी कराउलान् भनी हाँसेर बसे। धान रोप्ने समय भइसक्दा पनि पानी पर्ने छाँटकाँट नभएर चिन्तित बनेका किसानहरुलाई एउटा बुद्धिमानी भ्यागुता आइ, तपाईहरु राती सानो आगो पारी मसाल बालेर आउनुस् र त्यो देखेपछी भ्यागुताहरु कराउने छन् र अवश्य पानी पर्नेछ भनीभनेछन्। अरु कुनै उपाय नदेखेपछी किसानहरुले हुन्छ भनी राजी भएछन्। त्यसै राती किसानहरुका एक समुह हातमा सानो मसाल र बत्ती बाली आएछन्। यसरी आउँदै गरेको हुल टाढाबाट हेर्दा जुनकिरीहरु चम्केको झैं देखेपछी, खेतहरुमा रहेका सबै भ्यागुताहरु ट्वारट्वार कराउन थालेछन्। भ्यागुताहरु कराएको सुनी छक्क परेका इन्द्रदेवले अन्तत नियमानुसार पानी पार्नै पर्यो र घनघोर पानी परेपछी सारा किसानहरु खुसी भए। समयमै पानी पारेर अन्न उब्जाउन मद्दत गरेको खुसिमा भ्यागुताहरुलाई सम्मान स्वरुप खाना खुवाएको विश्वास गरिन्छ। अर्को किंवदन्ती अनुसार राक्षसलाई मार्न सघाएको खुसिमा खान खुवाएको मानिन्छ। यसलाई सामान्य रुपमा हेर्ने हो भने पनि, धानबारीमा रहेका भ्यागुताले त्यहाँ आउने स-साना किरा फट्याङ्ग्राहरु खाइ किराहरुबाट जोगाउने काम गर्दछन्। भ्यागुता जस्तो सानो जीवलाई समेत सम्मान गरि अन्न खुवाउने यो प्रचलन प्रकृति पूजनको एक अनुपम नमुना हो।

यसै दिन पाटनको बंगलामुखी परिसरमा रहेको श्री सर्वेश्वर महादेवलाई मुख्य मन्दिरबाट निकाली नजिकै रहेको सिलु पोखरीमा राख्ने गरिन्छ। यस दिनभरी सो क्षेत्रमा मेला लाग्ने गर्दछ भने यसलाई क्वन्ती मेलाको नामले चिनिन्छ। यसै गरि, यस दिन नेवा: समुदाय भित्र रहेका राजोपाध्याय तथा तागाधारीहरुले जनै फेर्ने गर्दछन्। नेवा: समुदाय भित्रका प्राय समुदायहरुमा जनै धारण गर्ने प्रचलन नरहेता पनि, अझै केही समुदायमा यो विद्यमान छ। नेवा: समुदायमा विशेषत राजोपाध्याय तथा कर्माचार्य पुरोहितहरुले आजको दिन पसुका बाँधिदिने गर्दछन्। यसरी नेवा: समुदायमा आफ्नै किसिमले गुंपुन्ही मनाउने गरिन्छ।

`पसुकाको पूरा अर्थ नेपालभाषामा पञ्चसुका हो , अर्थात ५ विभिन्न रंगको धागो। पसुकामा रातो, पहेंलो, कालो, हरियो र सेतो गरि ५ रंगको धागो रहेको हुन्छ।

Every year according to Nepal Samvat, the day of Shravan Shukla Purnima is celebrated as Janai Purnima as per Gunlathva Punhi and Vikram Samvat. Different communities of Nepal celebrate this festival in their own way, just like on this day, if Brahmins and Tagadhari change their body, we wish you a happy life by tying a rope in your hands. In the same way, it is found that it has a different importance in the Newa community of the valley.

This day is known as Gumpunhi or Kwati Punhi in Newa: community. Nepal Samvat's th month is considered to be Gumpunhi as it is the full moon in Gungla. In the Newa community, which is a trend of eating dishes differently on every full moon and festival, especially Kwati eating is done on this day. In Nepal language, ' Kwa ' is hot and ' Ti ' is a soup, that is why this Purnima is also called Kwati Punhi. This word has become an illusion and now it is called Quanti by non-Newa. On this day, a small tusa grown after getting wet, it is cooked by mixing it with gravy and wheat bread. For this, there is a trend of getting wet on the day of Dwadashi. Nine types of gedagudi mixes are cooked with white beans, banana, bakula, body, gram, geda mas, geda mung, bhatmas etc. Also, it is also used to extract flame, coriander and cumin. According to the people's request, cumin is taken as a symbol of mosquitoes, coriander and flames as a symbol of fly. This is how you should eat the flame, cumin and if you eat it by looking at your face in Kwati, it is believed that mosquitoes, fly, upiyan will not hurt you.

Similarly, the other main side of this day is the trend of feeding frogs. This trend known as 'Byanja Nkegu' is especially done by the farmer community. Rice, gedagudi, meat and various dishes are first to be offered in front of the roots. After this, it will be kept for birds in the porch. After this, all the parts will be carryed and put in different places for frogs. According to the legend, once Indra Risai, I won't water, all the junkies and junkiri have been captured by myself. Indradev, who had a rule to water after frogs were shouting, kept all the junkiri with him, laughed at how the frogs would cry. A wise frog came to the farmers who were worried about the rainfall even when it was time for planting paddy, you will come through a small fire at night and the frogs will cry and of course it will rain. Farmers agreed that it will happen if they don't see any other solution. That night a group of farmers came to their hands with a small torch and lighting. This is how the hull coming from a distance, when the frogs were shining, all the frogs in the fields started shouting twartwar. Indradev, who was surprised to hear the frogs shouting, finally had to rain as per the rules and all the farmers were happy after the heavy rain. It is believed to be fed to the frogs in honor of the happiness of helping to grow food by watering on time. According to another legend, it is considered to be fed in the happiness of killing the monster. Despite looking at this as normal, frogs in the paddy field work to save them from insects by eating small insects and firecrackers. This trend is a unique example of nature's worship to respect even a small creature like a frogs.

On this day, Shri Sarveshwar Mahadev, located in the Banglamukhi premises of Patan will be removed from the main temple and kept in the silu pond nearby. If there is a fair in this area throughout the day, it is known as the Kwanti Mela. Similarly, on this day, the Rajopadhyay and Tagadharis in the Newa community will change their lives. Neva: Although most of the communities in the community are not trending, it still exists in some communities. Newa: In the community, especially Rajopadhyay and Karmacharya priests will tie the pasuka today. This is how the Newa: community is celebrated in its own way.

' The full meaning of Pasuka is Panchasuka in Nepal language, that is thread of different colors. Pasuka has a thread of red, yellow, black, green and white.
